College Students Are Lazy

I am often amazed at how much more capability and enthusiam for science there is among elementary school youngsters than among college students.
                        -Carl Sagan

Why is this do you think?

Do college students become less interested in science, learning about it, and exploring it, because if they really wanted to know something they could just pull out their phone and google it?

I agree with Carl. I think that today's college students use technology so much, and depend on it for so many answers, that they are no longer interested in experiments, and talking to people to collect data on their own.

I guess it is easier to read what someone else has already researched, and proved.

So will technology stop all development, or will it work the other way around?

If we start incorporating the latest social media into classrooms...

Will college students soon become interested in science and discovery?

Or will they just use the internet to read everyone else's discoveries?

America is lazy...

What do you think will happen?
